Breaking Down the Monolith for Open, Micro-Service Technology

Breaking down the closed, monolithic architecture of Applied Epic into microservice architecture creates greater flexibility and accessibility. Products – both Applied and third-party applications – can be integrated simpler and faster via APIs. Public cloud technology via Google Cloud provides increased scalability and performance.

A micro-service architecture, in concert with cloud deployment technologies, API management, and integration technologies, provides a different approach to software development. The monolith is instead disassembled into a set of independent services that are developed, deployed and maintained separately, creating more agility, easer integrations, scalability, and efficiency.
